We believe that for children to have the best possible chance to succeed, they need to be in school every day. School has a start from 8.45am and the end of day is 3.15pm. Total hours provided in a typical week are 32.5 hours.
If your child is ill, please ring the school on the first day of absence by 9.00 am.
Holidays should not be taken during the school term and the headteacher will refuse any requests unless there are exceptional circumstances. The school is accountable to the government for children’s absence from school and the reason for any absence must be explained.
The Educational Welfare Officer (EWO) investigates all unexplained absences and any attendance issues that are a matter of concern.
Should you have any issues regarding attendance, please contact our attendance officer, Ms Umney.
Please see the information below relating to Penalty Notices to address poor attendance at school.
